An Expression of Gratitude

A field of over 1,000 3′ x 5′ American Flags will express our gratitude to our veterans and first responders. Each flag tells the story of heroes whose lives were devoted in service to others, many of whom made the ultimate sacrifice.

We will honor family members, friends and neighbors whose service and sacrifices have allowed all of us to be safe and enjoy freedoms many in other lands cannot enjoy. By honoring them through this display, we are creating a visual expression of our gratitude to those who serve, present and past, living and deceased, while raising money for their causes.

The motto of Rotary is “Service above Self”. Our Veterans and First Responders live this motto every day.

Come and Reflect

On each flag hangs a dedication card that reflects the service given by the honoree. Each card tells the story of heroes whose lives were devoted in service to their fellow man. From the Civil War to the present, all are represented.

Walk through a field of silent reflection. Experience a sense of unity while reading the stories of our hereos along with others of all ages, colors and creeds.

Hear the haunting sound of TAPS at dusk and experience the reverence of walking the field at night when the flags seem to reach out and tell their own stories.

Take home a profound feeling of thank you for those that served or are currently serving to protect our way of life.

Dedicate A Flag of Honor

Honor the heroes in your life by dedicating a flag to a veteran, first responder, or active-duty service member.

Each dedication ensures that their name will be proudly displayed and their flag will fly among 1,111 American flags in a breathtaking tribute field. This moving display not only symbolizes gratitude and respect, but also serves as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made to protect our freedom and keep our communities safe.

Join the Inaugural Patriot Run 5K & Fun Run

Join us for the inaugural Patriot’s Run on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Red Tail Pavilion in Plano. The morning begins with a 1-Mile Fun Run at 8:00 AM, followed by the main event—the Patriot’s Run 5K—at 8:30 AM. Enjoy a festive start line, awards, refreshments, vendor booths, and family-friendly activities among the stunning display of American flags at the Plano Flags of Honor.

This first-ever event is more than a race—it’s a tribute to service, sacrifice, and community pride. Run, walk, or cheer and be part of a new tradition honoring our heroes.

After the run, participants and spectators are invited to stay for a community celebration featuring:

Awards & recognition ceremony honoring top finishers and age-group winners.
Refreshments and snacks provided by local sponsors.
Vendor booths and sponsor tents with our community partners.
Family-friendly activities and photo opportunities among the hundreds of American flags displayed at the Plano Flags of Honor.
